Jay Leno

Live in the E Center!
In May of 1992 Jay Leno followed in the footsteps of legendary NBC late-night hosts Steve Allen, Jack Paar and Johnny Carson as "Tonight Show" host. His show dominated the ratings for the next two decades. Well known as a great comedian, Leno is also an author, philanthropist, and the recipient of the People’s Choice Award and the Harris Poll selection as most popular star on television. Other personal highlights include his induction into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Broadcasting Hall of Fame, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame—asking that it be placed in front of the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum since that is where he was arrested for vagrancy when he first arrived in Hollywood.

Alabama - All American Tour 2015

Live in the Laughlin Event Center!
Forty years ago, a trio of young cousins left Fort Payne, Alabama, to spend the summer playing in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar called The Bowery. It took Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook six long years of tip jars and word of mouth to earn the major label deal they'd been dreaming of, but then seemingly no time at all to change the face of country music. ALABAMA is the band that changed everything. They have had 43 #1 singles including 21 #1 singles in a row. They brought youthful energy, sex appeal and a rocking edge that broadened country's audience and opened the door to self-contained bands from then on, and they undertook a journey that led, 73 million albums later, to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"We were renegades in sneakers and T-shirts," says Teddy. "We had long hair and played loud and some of the country folks resisted us for a while. But then of course they did accept us and then after that, our success made it lots easier for other bands to try it in country music." The fact that some of the heirs of that legacy--Eli Young Band, Rascal Flatts and Florida Georgia Line--were among the stars paying tribute on Alabama & Friends, their most recent release, is part of their legacy as surely as the awards and plaudits they've earned through the years. They include more than 150 major industry nods, including two Grammys, the Minnie Pearl Humanitarian award, Entertainer of the Year awards three times from the CMA and five times from the ACM, as well as the latter's Artist of the Decade award. They earned 21 Gold®, Platinum® and Multi-Platinum® albums and were named the RIAA's Country Group of the Century.

But the boys from Fort Payne are not content to rest on past glories. As 2014 neared an end, they were concluding a strong tour and celebrating the release of their gospel album, “Angels Among Us: Hymns & Gospel Favorites.” The band is looking forward to 2015 and the release of their first studio album of new material in 14 years and continued touring. ALABAMA continues to “Roll On.”

5 Time Grammy Award Winner Michael McDonald

Live in the E Center!

McDonald's formidable singing and songwriting skills have made him a singular musical presence for four decades. He began a long association with Steely Dan in 1975, touring with the band, singing backup as well as playing keyboards onstage. One year after the release of Steely Dan's Katy Lied, McDonald was invited to join the Doobie Brothers on the road. In the years that followed, McDonald and the Doobie Brothers enjoyed tremendous commercial and creative success. Their sound evolved from guitar-driven rock to a sultry, tight R&B feel, with McDonald writing and singing lead on "Takin' It to the Streets," "What a Fool Believes," "Minute by Minute," and other signature songs. He began his solo career in 1982 following the Doobie Brothers' farewell tour.

Continuing to explore new vistas, in 2003 and 2004, McDonald released his Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling pair of Motown albums. In 2005, he partnered with Hallmark for a special Christmas album, Through The Many Winters, which sold 500,000 copies in its first two weeks. On the heels of 2008's acclaimed crossover album Soul Speak (which hit three different charts simultaneously) and multiple appearances on PBS's Soundstage, McDonald continues to tour the world, from Europe to Asia to Australia. In May 2011, McDonald received an honorary doctorate from Berklee School Of Music.

Hank Williams Jr.

Live in the Laughlin Event Center!
Though he began his career in the shadow of his legendary father, Hank Williams Jr. emerged as a formidable Country singer-songwriter in his own right with 1960s hits such as “It’s All Over But The Crying” and “Cajun Baby.” But things changed with the 1979 release of “Family Tradition,” where he broke the Nashville mainstream by adopting a rebel image and writing/recording in a style incorporating his Blues and Southern Rock influences. The results were staggering as 42 Top-10 hits followed, two CMA Entertainer of the Year honors, three ACM Entertainer of the Year honors, multiple Grammy nominations and a Grammy award for “There’s a Tear in My Beer”, a duet with his father using electronic merging technology.
